John Lowe
CHAIRMAN / GRAND MASTER
John has been involved in Manchester Unity Friendly Society since 1984. He has been chairman of the Regional Credit Union since 1998. John is the manager of a large plumbing, drainage and roofing company. John joined the board in October, 2005.
 
Ingrid Taylor
ELECTED DIRECTOR & TRUSTEE
Ingrid has been a member of Manchester Unity since 1994 and is currently a Trustee of the Canterbury Lodge. She is a Principal within a legal firm in Christchurch specialising in commercial and property law. She was appointed to the board in October 2007.
 
Paul Haglund
ELECTED DIRECTOR & TRUSTEE
Paul has been involved in Manchester Unity Friendly Society since 1961 and has just recently retired as the District Secretary of North Canterbury and Banks Peninsula Districts. Paul has a background of consultancy work with KPMG and Telecom. Paul joined the board in 1993 to 1995 and 1997 to date.
 
Graham Allanson
ELECTED DIRECTOR & TRUSTEE
Graham has been with Manchester Unity since 1976 and is a trustee of the Wanganui District. Graham works within the community probation service and was appointed to the board in October 2009.
 
Michael Ambrose
APPOINTED DIRECTOR
Michael is our first independent Director & has a wealth of experience in a strategic & management role with many Commercial enterprises throughout New Zealand. He is also a shareholder in a Chartered Accountancy Business. Michael was appointed to the Board in October 2011.
 
Peter Schumacher
CHIEF EXECUTIVE & DIRECTOR
Peter is a Chartered Accountant and was a senior assurance and advisory Partner in an international accounting firm. He retired from that firm in November 2001 after being a partner for 25 years. His private sector experience has been vast and includes providing strategic and financial advice. Peter has been a Business Advisor to both medium and growth entities. Peter has been involved in the Chief Executive role with Manchester Unity since late August 2002. He is a member of the Board of Management of the Wellington Medical Research Foundation, and sits on both the finance and publicity committees. He is a trustee of the Indiana Music Study Trust Fund. He has been involved with community organisations and held the position of President of Birthright Wellington for a number of years. Peter joined the board as an Appointed Director late in 2003.
