Funeral Assistance Benefit
Funeral assistance benefit provides you with a simple and affordable way to cover the costs of your funeral. Your contributions are based on the level of cover you choose and we offer flexible payment options that fit in with your budget.
This plan gives you:
  • A simple and inexpensive plan
  • Flexible payment options
  • The ability to set the level of cover to suit your needs
  • Eligibility for bonuses
  • Ensures your funeral arrangements comply with your wishes
Payments from this fund are presently disregarded (up to $10,000) for calculation of the New Zealand Income Support Residential Care Subsidy.
To apply for a Funeral Assistance Benefit:
  1. Download and print the FAB Application and Direct Debit forms.
  2. Membership of Manchester Unity is required. If you are not an existing member, download the Membership Application Form. A membership fee is payable in addition to the premium.
  3. Complete the application form(s) and post with your first installment to:
