When the Wellington lodges found out that the Manawatu Tattoo was being held in Feilding over the last weekend in September, it decided a day trip was in order.
Brother Chisholm and Sister McLean were the drivers for the day and they along with 2 cars of members, set off from Porirua railway station mid-morning for the 2 o’clock show.
Members enjoyed a break and lunch at a café in Foxton before heading to Feilding.
The Manawatu Tattoo was over two and a half hours of non-stop entertainment including performances by Craig Adams, Suzanne Prentice OBE, Foundation New Zealand Youth Pipe Band, Highland Dancers, Feilding Intermediate School, Palmerston North Boys High School Stage Band and OK Chorale, Bulls School Kapa Haka, Broadway Marching, Coach House Museum, Joe Lumsden’s Rough Riders, Military Vintage Vehicles and more.
A absolutely fantastic show enjoyed alongside a great group of lodge members!
